Unfortunately from a birding perspective this October was very quiet – as our weather on the East coast of the UK was dominated by either westerly or south westerly winds!! So not much to be seen … even the Pink foots did not put in an appearance!! Autumn is a great time of year it indicates a great shift … things are beginning to change and Winter isn’t far away. This year the Autumn colours were pretty spectacular as can be seen from this montage of pictures I took when the Mrs and I visited York Arboretum on the 14th October…
