A nice trip to Filey today, whilst the tide was fully out . There were hardly any birds on the beach today … mind you it was pretty busy.. But there were some Oyster catchers that were braving the dog walkers. Always great to see and hear Oystercatchers with their smart uniforms of black and white and that bright red beak. They have been on frequent patrol usually at dusk at home in Pickering as a few pairs nest on the the nearby Carrs and pairs have been setting up their territories on the uplands of the North York Moors … a great sign that Spring has well and truly arrived.
