Great way to start my new Blog …. a visit to Filey Brigg on Thursday 19th September brought a very welcome surprise: a pod of Bottle Nose Dolphins were in the bay; swimming in flat calm water. Managed to see up to six individual animals which was fantastic!!! After swimming around the bay, the pod then left the bay, rounded Filey Brigg and swam North and I didn’t see them again. Managed to get some shots but distance was against me!! However some images were ok, and you can imagine my surprise when one image showed a very young calf !!
On an earlier trip to Filey in the week I managed a flight shot of a large female Sparrowhawk … hoping one day for a closer shot!!!
